PAYMENT

Contact Customer Support at 708-655-5299 or orders[at]deep-roots-project.org to ask any questions and to review your order prior to payment. Orders can be placed online with credit card payment OR they can be placed by phone or email. Checks are welcome: mail a check to Deep Roots Project, 323 S. East Ave, Oak Park, IL 60302. After we receive payment we begin building your planter box.

DELIVERY

Delivery of planter boxes is generally 2 weeks from the date of payment. We have FREE delivery of planter boxes in the Oak Park area. Ask our support team for costs of delivery outside the Oak Park area. Our customer support team will arrange a delivery date by phone, email or text message. No deliveries between November 15 and February 28.

PRODUCT DETAILS

The frame-only planter box does NOT include our Microbe-Rich Growing Medium. But, we also offer a planter box kit that comes filled with our Microbe-Rich Growing Medium and a half cubic foot bag (20 lbs) of worm castings that is used when planting seeds and seedlings. The planter boxes are 15” deep and constructed from 1-inch thick Eastern cedar boards. Our beautiful, unique design was created by our master engineer (in-house), Will Schreiber. Cedar boards are rot resistant and last several times longer than pine or fir boards. We include chemical-free varnishing on the exterior that further extends the life of your box.

We build planter boxes in standard sizes and custom sizes WITH and WITHOUT a bottom. Bottoms that allow drainage are helpful when the box is placed on a balcony or a patio.
